The screenshot is never enough. It can show the message, the timestamp and the sender, and somebody will still ask what came directly before it.

This is not skepticism in the traditional sense. It is a mature internal system in which evidence remains provisional until it agrees with the person currently presenting a case. Cropping is challenged. Tone is reconstructed. A message from years earlier is introduced without warning and treated as precedent.

The process is chaotic but not useless. The league has been together long enough that old predictions, contradictory claims and suspiciously revised memories do exist. The problem is that everyone is simultaneously witness, prosecutor, defense counsel and guy yelling from the gallery.

The Brief's contribution is modest: keep the receipts somewhere searchable and allow time to do what the group chat cannot — settle at least a few arguments without 63 additional messages.
